These wonderful and diverse gardens are in LA near Pasadena CA.  The most extensive cacti garden in the world is here.  The drier conditions of southern California are somehow apparent in the work I have done from these gardens and the skies are different blues.  There is definitely a different part of the country coming through in this painting.
